Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates infrastructure deployments and manages configuration drift. Policy as Code (PaC) is security enforcement automation to meet company policy, CIS, STIG and other compliance standards on machine access.
The open source Salt Project (open-Salt) has the ability to perform both PaC and IaC operations on a global scale that spans hundreds of thousands of devices. Terminal Labs has specifically developed a team of practitioners and architects for both scale and custom automation. We've are even developing a state of the art compliance generation software built from CIS and STIG reports for open-Salt to use without limiting open-Salt's features and flexibility.
The latest sell to corporations and startups alike is having hybrid cloud. This is marketed to have benefits of infinite scaling while still maintaining your private scale infrastructure. While this is true, it often comes with significant complexity and cost if done poorly. Our approach is to recommend hybrid cloud with guardrails of what offers the most benefit before cost and complexity exponentially grows.
We enjoy referring to our large multi-data center projects, but there is sufficient complexity closer to end users. Our attentive approach to getting digital resources to client's employees and customers goes as far as developing full automation for deployment, custom integrations tuned to customer needs, and security and testing to give confidence to our clients.
